Today marks the harvest of over six months of continuous collaboration and effort with all stakeholders…
We celebrated the launch of the first plastic waste grinder in Gaza, managed by resilient and pioneering Palestinian women in the southern region of the Gaza Strip. The grinder is 100% locally made from scratch and built to international standards. This project stands as one of the most important eco-friendly, income-generating, and socially empowering initiatives for women in Gaza.
All love and appreciation go to the Women’s Affairs Center and their amazing team, with whom I am always proud to work as an environmental advisor—especially project coordinator Ms. Reem Al-Nierab and the outstanding leadership of Ms. Amal Siyam, Director of the Center.
Heartfelt thanks to the DanChurchAid organization and their Gaza office, led by the wonderful Ms. Reem Al-Sharif, for their support and funding.
I sincerely hope the message and potential of this project reach everyone—especially decision-makers—so that all efforts can align to establish comprehensive recycling systems for all solid waste types: metals, plastic, glass, paper, organic materials, and more.
We must ensure that green industries in Gaza receive full support and care from governmental bodies so they can stand strong, protect our homeland from resource depletion, and curb environmental pollution.
