The National Institute for Environment and Development (NIED) is implementing a series of training programs targeting staff from civil society organizations across the Gaza Strip. These programs focus on climate change, gender, community-based environmental initiatives, and financial management of projects.
These training sessions are part of the project titled “Enhancing Inclusive Support for Loss and Damage, Disability Rights, and Climate Justice in the Gaza Strip.”
The sessions covered a wide range of topics including:

Adaptation strategies to address climate change,

The link between human rights and climate change,
-
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),

And several other related issues.
The goal of this training is to equip civil society organizations and their teams with the knowledge and understanding of the concepts and terminology necessary to strengthen their capacities in the areas of climate change, gender, and adaptation strategies. These skills will help them better confront and cope with the negative impacts of climate change.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) and funded by Kvinna till Kvinna.
