NIED’s Experience :
Programs and projects that have been conducted by the institute’s staff:
NIED’s staff has conducted a big number of projects and developmental interventions in different fields. The staff has implemented all of these projects in cooperation with a set international, regional, and governmental and non-governmental institutions. Moreover, all of the previously conducted projects had developmental, architectural, awareness-raising, social, or institutional nature. Notwithstanding the relief projects and programs, some of the NIED-carried out projects were focused on infrastructural or constructional development.
Particularly, NIED’s staff has conducted many projects in the field of environment, public health, social development, economy, management, and emergency and catastrophe management. The institute’s team has conducted the aforementioned projects under different programs, such as specialized training programs, awareness-raising and cultural values-promoting plans and campaigns, youth initiatives, needs assessment studies, strategic plans for institutions and NGOs, and specialized research, reports, or studies.
Indeed, the fieldwork and years-long hands-on experience of NIED’s staff has notably contributed to developing and enhancing their professional skills, qualifying them to identify and examine work requirements and needs at different sectors prior to or while conducting interventions and programs.
Owing to the wide experience, the team, furthermore, has become able to assess the needs of the different groups of the Palestinian people, taking into consideration available resources and capacities. The staff of NIED is also able to put forward solutions and devise manipulation projects developed to alleviate or overcome the current problems, hence contributing to development and prosperity. All of this is added to working on projects focused at different aspects including environment, water, basic services, economy, strategic planning, culture, and social development.
Moreover, NIED’s team has developed strong ties and years-long partnerships, which are based on mutual respect and trust, with many local and international organizations. NIED’s network of relations has been built up through projects and programs successfully implemented by the institute. Indeed, such ties ensure an integrated work progressing synthetically and gradually. Accordingly, the team of NIED is capable of estimating reality, conditions, and challenges. Overall, the relations and partnerships of the institute enable it to draw up effective and reasonable solutions that can be implemented within an appropriate framework and with clear tools of assessment.
